Very important is a home loss of second ranked Sturt Sabres (4-2) against fifth ranked Forestville Eagles (4-2) on Sunday night. Host Sturt Sabres were crushed by Forestville Eagles in Pasadena 105-81. Forestville Eagles dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Sturt Sabres' 40. Forestville Eagles players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Point guard Adam Doyle (176-1991) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Daniel Johnson contributed with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Forward Jacob Rigoni (198-1998, college: Quinnipiac) replied with 14 points and 5 rebounds and guard Joel Spear (192-1994, college: S.Oregon) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Sturt Sabres. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Forestville Eagles moved-up to third place in League. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
