Regular Season Round 13: Waverley F. - Launceston T. 92-85

The biggest surprise took place in Mount Waverley where host Falcons (3-2) beat league's leader Tornadoes (4-1) 92-85 on Sunday evening. Falcons made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Forward Renae Mokrzycki (183-1994, college: Idaho) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Carley Ernst (196-1994) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws). Five Falcons players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Kelsey Griffin (188-1987, college: Nebraska) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international forward Keely Froling (188-1996, college: SMU) added 28 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Despite that victory Falcons went down to eleventh position (League) due to points difference. Tornadoes at the other side dropped to the fourth place with one game lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Bendigo LB. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
