An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Mackay. First ranked BA CoE faced 3rd placed Meteorettes. Guests from Canberra (1-1) smashed host Meteorettes (2-2) 82-62. It was a key game for the top position in League. BA CoE forced 24 Meteorettes turnovers and outrebounded them 47-32 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Dallas Loughridge (167-2004) who helped to win the game recording 19 points. Forward Summah Hanson (179-2005) contributed with 7 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Austrian-British forward Ellie Collins (183-1998) answered with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Grace George (-2000) added 7 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Meteorettes. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BA CoE maintains first place in League with 1-1 record. Meteorettes at the other side dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. BA CoE will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Meteorettes will play at home against Capitals (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
