Rather expected game in Booval where 11th ranked Force (1-5) was rolled over by ninth ranked Roar (2-1) 84-62 on Sunday. Roar outrebounded Force 50-37 including 16 on the offensive glass. American guard Ariana Moorer (172-1991, college: Virginia) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 17 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals for the winners and her fellow American import forward Mia Loyd (181-1994, college: N.Dakota) chipped in 25 points and 10 rebounds. Four Roar players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international forward Kasey Burton (178-1996) responded with 7 points and 15 rebounds (made all of her fifteen free throws !!!) and point guard Claudia Armato (165-1999, college: UAB) scored 13 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Roar moved-up to sixth place in League. Loser Force keeps the eleventh position with five games lost. Roar will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Force will play against Rollers (#4) in Gold Coast and hope to win that game.
