Very predictable result when seventh ranked Ballarat Miners (4-2) won against 17th ranked Cavaliers (1-5) in Wendouree 89-76 on Sunday. Ballarat Miners dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Cavaliers' 32 and made 20-of-21 free shots (95.2 percent) during the game. Ballarat Miners forced 19 Cavaliers turnovers. The winners were led by American-Kenyan forward Preston Bungei (198-1995, college: Norfolk St.) who scored that evening 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and American point guard David Crisp (183-1996, college: Washington) supported him with 21 points and 5 rebounds.
