The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Sharks as it allowed them to take a leadership position in League. Sharks smashed 7th ranked Mustangs in Sutherland 82-55. They outrebounded Mustangs 47-32 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Sharks players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for international guard Lauren Nicholson (183-1993, college: St.Mary's, CA) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Madeleine Norris (188-1998) accounted for 13 points for the winning side. Sharks' coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Rachel Williams came up with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and Hannah Griffin added 17 points respectively for Mustangs in the defeat. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Mustangs at the other side dropped to the eighth place with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
