Rather expected game when 7th ranked Steelers (1-8) lost to fourth ranked Camberwell (5-5) in Melbourne 77-88 on Saturday. Camberwell looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Steelers' players. Jay Mackenzie notched a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds to lead the effort and Brendan Trewella supported him with 24 points and 5 assists. Camberwell's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds by American forward Naaman Hightower (201-1994, college: Sonoma St.) did not help to save the game for Steelers. His fellow American import guard Troyce Manassa (193-1993, college: SSU) added 18 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four Steelers players scored in double figures. Camberwell maintains fourth position in League with 5-5 record. Loser Steelers keep the seventh place with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
