Rather expected game when bottom-ranked Brisbane Spartans (0-4) lost on the road to thirteenth ranked Roar (2-2) 92-85 on Saturday. Roar had a 46-35 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Jayden Hodgson (190-1997, college: GVSU) notched a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and American forward Spencer Parker (201-1993, college: BGSU, agency: Inception Sports) supported him with 22 points and 9 rebounds. Five Roar players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 19 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists by guard Chris Cedar (188-1988) did not help to save the game for Brisbane Spartans. Guard William Mahoney (190-2004) added 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Brisbane Spartans' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Roar moved-up to ninth place in League. Loser Brisbane Spartans still closes the standings with four games lost. Roar will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Brisbane Spartans will play against the league's leader Phoenix (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
