Very predictable result when first ranked Canberra Gunners (6-2) rolled over at home 9th ranked Crusaders (3-5) 110-74 on Saturday. Canberra Gunners forced 21 Crusaders turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Crusaders' players. William Mayfield notched 28 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and point guard Dhal Fieg (180, college: S.Georgia Tech) supported him with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Four Canberra Gunners players scored in double figures. Even 22 points and 6 rebounds by forward Callum Jenkins did not help to save the game for Crusaders. Nicholas Wooller added 9 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Canberra Gunners maintains first position in League with 6-2 record. Loser Crusaders keep the ninth place with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
