Regular Season Round 21: Perry Lakes H. - Goldfields G. 62-74

Round 21 games in the State League were marked by very close results. The first upset was a home defeat of 6th ranked Hawks (5-4) to fifth ranked Giants (6-3) 74-62. Strangely Hawks outrebounded Giants 46-34 including 32 on the defensive glass. Guard Jesse Ghee (183, college: Fullerton JC) stepped up and scored 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and American forward Hussayn Ford (198, college: Northwest) chipped in 16 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was center Andrew Ferguson (213-1998, college: CS Monterey) with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks and naturalized British swingman Adam Thoseby (197-1991, college: GSW) scored 24 points. Giants maintains fifth place in League with 6-3 record. Hawks at the other side dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
