There was a minor upset in Terrigal where 7th ranked Crusaders (4-6) were defeated by ninth ranked Hills Hornets (5-6) 79-72 on Sunday. Hills Hornets made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 26 Crusaders turnovers. Strangely Crusaders outrebounded Hills Hornets 47-28 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Benjamin Kearins (188, agency: BIG) who scored 16 points and 8 assists. Liam Moss chipped in 18 points. Four Hills Hornets players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Callum Jenkins who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and Aaron Redhead added 8 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively. Crusaders' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hills Hornets moved-up to eighth place in League. Loser Crusaders dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. Hills Hornets will meet Norths Soul Sports Bears (#11) in the next round. Crusaders will play against Hawks in Wollongong and hope to secure a win.
