The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Flames as it allowed them to take a leadership position in League. Flames smashed 7th ranked Rollers in Townsville 97-53. They outrebounded Rollers 54-29 including a 40-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Flames looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for guard Stephanie Reid (168-1996, college: Buffalo) who led her team to a victory scoring 23 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. Swingman Courtney Woods (183-1997, college: NIU) helped adding 33 points (!!!). Four Flames players scored in double figures. Flames' coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Taylor Lee responded with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Nyah Morris (183, college: South Plains) scored 17 points. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Rollers at the other side keep the seventh place with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
