No shocking result in a game when first ranked Devils (11-2) crushed on the road 6th ranked Warriors (5-8) 103-63 on Saturday. Devils forced 37 Warriors turnovers and had a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Lauren Jones (178-2003, college: Austin Peay) who led the winners and scored 27 points. Her fellow American import guard Amanda Paschal (170-1996, college: Kentucky) accounted for 14 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. Paschal is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Devils players scored in double figures. American power forward Anastasia Williams (188-1994, college: Bridgeport) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 16 rebounds and Ebony Sans added 7 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Warriors in the defeat. Warriors' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Devils maintains first place in League with 11-2 record. Loser Warriors keep the sixth position with eight games lost. Devils will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Warriors will play against Gulls (#7) in Melbourne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
