Very expected game in Bulleen where 8th ranked Sharks (1-13) were crushed by second ranked Boomers (11-3) 90-63 on Sunday. Boomers forced 20 Sharks turnovers. Strangely Sharks outrebounded Boomers 52-37 including 17 on the offensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was center Holly Griffiths (192-2004) who scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Olivia Bontempelli (179-1993) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Five Boomers players scored in double figures. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American Jade Odom (178, college: Southeastern) who recorded 18 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and Eryn Rosowski added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Boomers maintains second position in League with 11-3 record having just three point less than leader Bendigo LB. Loser Sharks keep the eighth place with 13 games lost. Boomers will meet at home Hume City Broncos (#5) in the next round. Sharks will have a break next round.
