Chargers' fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after 12 consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Rangers (3-10) 77-64. Chargers dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Rangers' 22. It was a great evening for American forward Angela Tompkins (188-1991, college: Wichita St.) who led her team to a victory scoring 27 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Kylie McCauley (185-1984) helped adding 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Chargers' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was power forward Gemma Potter (182-2002) with 24 points and 5 assists and Clare Camac scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Chargers maintains twenty first place in League with 1-12 record. Rangers at the other side keep the eighteenth position with ten games lost. Chargers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rangers will play on the road against Tornadoes (#5) in Launceston and hope to get back on the winning track.
