Leading Mount Gambier Pioneers (10-3) recorded its third loss in Mt Gambier. Hosts were defeated by eighteenth ranked Eltham Wildcats (3-10) 100-95. It was an exceptional evening for guard Owen Foxwell (187-2003) who led the winners and scored 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. New Zealand swingman Mitchell Dance (192-2001) accounted for 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Forward Nick Marshall (196-1999, college: Clarke) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and forward Tom Kubank (201, college: Mary) added 23 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Mount Gambier Pioneers in the defeat. Four Mount Gambier Pioneers players scored in double figures. Eltham Wildcats maintains eighteenth place in League with 3-10 record. Mount Gambier Pioneers at the other side still keep top position with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
