There was a minor upset in Cheltenham where 3rd placed Geelong Supercats (8-4) were defeated by sixth ranked Sabres (9-5) 93-81 on Saturday. Sabres made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. American-New Zealand swingman Dion Prewster (195-1990, college: SF Austin, agency: BIG) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. New Zealand guard Shea Ili (184-1992) chipped in 29 points and 6 assists. Sabres' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Gabriel Hadley (190-1998) produced 28 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Demarcus Gatlin (193-1992, college: SHSU, agency: IceBasket) added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Four Geelong Supercats players scored in double figures. Sabres moved-up to third place in League. Loser Geelong Supercats dropped to the fourth position with four games lost.
