Regular Season Round 33: Cockburn C. - Perry Lakes H. 94-91

A very close game took place in Hamilton Hill between Cougars and Hawks. Sixth ranked Cougars (9-6) got a very close home victory over 7th ranked Hawks (8-7). Cougars managed to escape with a 3-point win 94-91 on Friday evening. Cougars shot the lights out from three sinking 20 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Carter Skaggs (196-1995, college: UNCW) who scored 38 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field). Nigerian center Paschal Chukwu (218-1995, college: Syracuse) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was center Andrew Ferguson (213-1998, college: CS Monterey) who recorded 17 points and 7 rebounds and the former international forward Ben Purser (200-1990, college: Augusta) added 16 points and 6 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Cougars maintains sixth place in League with 9-6 record. Loser Hawks dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
