There was an upset in Morphett Vale where 4th placed Norwood Flames (8-5) were crushed by eighth ranked Noarlunga City Southern Tigers (4-9) 88-60 on Friday. The best player for the winners was center Lachlan Olbrich (208-2003) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Ricardo Martin (203-1992, college: Lander) chipped in 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Noarlunga City Southern Tigers players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Walter McBride (195-1974, college: Xavier) who recorded 18 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import center Anthony Green (208-1996, college: Northeastern) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers moved-up to seventh place in League. Loser Norwood Flames keep the fourth position with five games lost. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers will meet higher ranked Sturt Sabres (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Norwood Flames will play against West Adelaide Bearcats in Woodville and hope to secure a win.
