The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Canberra Gunners as it allowed them to take a leadership position in League. Canberra Gunners smashed 4th placed Bulls at home 106-85. Canberra Gunners players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. William Mayfield orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard James Toohey (188, college: SVSU) contributed with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Alex Higgins-Titsha answered with 20 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized South Sudanese forward Chier Maker (203-1995, college: Idaho St.) added 21 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Bulls. Four Bulls players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Bulls at the other side dropped to the fifth place with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
