Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Pirates (0-14) were rolled over on the road by second ranked Brisbane Spartans (13-2) 80-58 on Sunday. Brisbane Spartans forced 19 Pirates turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was New Zealand forward Kalani Purcell (188-1995, college: BYU) who scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Nadeen Payne (188-1993, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Brisbane Spartans players scored in double figures. Brisbane Spartans' coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
