There was no surprise when 15th ranked Thunder (6-11) lost to ninth ranked Frankston Blues (9-7) in Melbourne 69-79 on Sunday. Frankston Blues outrebounded Thunder 46-29 including 16 on the offensive glass. Guard Alister MacDonald (186-1992) notched 22 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Lucas Barker (183-1993, college: Indianapolis) supported him with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists by American forward Tyler Kidd (196, college: Ohio Northern) did not help to save the game for Thunder. Power forward Cirkook Riak (203-1992, college: Lamar St.CC) added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the hosts. Five Frankston Blues and four Thunder players scored in double figures. Thunder's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Frankston Blues moved-up to seventh place in League. Loser Thunder keeps the fifteenth position with 11 games lost.
