An interesting game for Canberra Gunners (13-5) which hosted in Canberra second-ranked Hunters (11-4). First ranked Canberra Gunners had an easy win 95-68. Canberra Gunners forced 23 Hunters turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Center Glenn Morison (208, college: St.Edward's) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Dhal Fieg (180, college: S.Georgia Tech) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Canberra Gunners players scored in double figures. Canberra Gunners' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized British forward Ryan Beisty (200-1995, college: Regis Univ.) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and forward Myles Cherry (203-1998, college: Lafayette) scored 24 points and 5 rebounds. Canberra Gunners maintains first position in League with 13-5 record. Hunters at the other side keep the second place with four games lost. Canberra Gunners will play against Hawks (#4) in Wollongong in the next round. Hunters will play on the road against Crusaders in Terrigal and hope to get back on the winning track.
