Bottom-ranked Bulls (0-18) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their 18th consecutive match to third ranked Sharks (12-4) 105-44 on Sunday evening. Sharks held Bulls to an opponent 23.9 percent shooting from the field compared to 48.1 percent accuracy of the winners. Sharks forced 24 Bulls turnovers and outrebounded them 59-32 including a 39-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. Sharks looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Bulls' players. The best player for the winners was international guard Lauren Nicholson (183-1993, college: St.Mary's, CA) who had a triple-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. Forward Madeleine Norris (188-1998) chipped in a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. Four Sharks players scored in double figures. American forward Lashayla Wright-Ponder (182, college: Tampa) produced 12 points and Abby OFlynn added 5 points, 6 assists and 6 steals respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sharks maintains third place in League with 12-4 record having eight points less than leader Bendigo LB. Loser Bulls still closes the standings with 18 games lost. Sharks will meet Mustangs (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bulls will play against Hunters and hope to get finally their first victory.
