Regular Season Round 35: Diamond VE - Dandenong R. 79-101
Date: July 24, 2022
The game between closely ranked teams ended with twentieth ranked Rangers' (4-14) road victory over 21th ranked Diamond Valley Eagles (1-18) 101-79 on Sunday. Rangers made 26-of-30 free shots (86.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Emilee Harmon (189, college: Ohio St.) who scored 29 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Gemma Potter (182-2002) chipped in 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Power forward Sophie Burrows (184-2004) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Emma Mahady (179-1992, college: California, PA) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rangers moved-up to eighteenth place in League. Loser Diamond Valley Eagles keep the twenty first position with 18 games lost. Rangers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Diamond Valley Eagles will play against Wildcats (#13) and hope to win that game.
