The game between third ranked Whai (4-4) and fifth ranked Hoiho (1-7) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Whai was defeated by Hoiho in a tough game on the road 52-60. American power forward Laina Snyder (185-1995, college: Ashland) stepped up and scored 21 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners and her fellow American import center Shelby Cheslek (196-1992, college: Gonzaga) chipped in 4 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Sheniqua Greene responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds and American point guard Kyra Lambert (175-1996, college: Texas) scored 9 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Hoiho maintains fifth place with 1-7 record. Whai at the other side dropped to the second position with four games lost. Hoiho are looking forward to face higher ranked Pouakai (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
