No shocking result in a game when first ranked Lady Bandits (15-2) beat 7th ranked Nationals (7-10) in Albury 90-79 on Saturday. Lady Bandits dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Nationals' 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Nationals' players. The winners were led by American forward Unique Thompson (190-1999, college: Auburn) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 18 rebounds (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field) and Japanese guard Ai Yamada (170-1995) supported her with 30 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. Even 31 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals by guard Lizzy Tonks (173, college: CSUN) did not help to save the game for Nationals. Abby Solway (165, college: S.Georgia Tech) added 22 points. Lady Bandits maintains first position in League with 15-2 record. Loser Nationals keep the seventh place with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
