Regular Season Round 36: USC Rip - Ipswich F. 65-100
Date: July 30, 2022
There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Force (7-10) outplayed higher ranked Rip City (9-7) in Sippy Downs 100-65 on Saturday. Force dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Rip City's 38. Force forced 24 Rip City turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Rip City's players. The winners were led by American forward Amanda Cahill (188-1996, college: Indiana, agency: LBM Management) who scored that evening 22 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and guard Tia Hay (170, college: Santa Clara) supported her with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Force players scored in double figures. Even 25 points and 7 rebounds by American power forward Ashley Harris (187-1990, college: WSC) did not help to save the game for Rip City. Camryn Hughes added 7 points and 11 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Force moved-up to tenth place in League. Loser Rip City dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. Force will meet at home Pirates (#13) in the next round. Rip City will play against Flames (#3) and hope to secure a win.
