Not a big story in a game in Morphett Vale where 8th ranked Noarlunga City Southern Tigers (4-12) were outplayed by first ranked Woodville Warriors (15-2) 119-83 on Saturday. Woodville Warriors dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Noarlunga City Southern Tigers' 46. Woodville Warriors looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American guard Jawan Stepney (192-1995, college: CWU) stepped up and scored 23 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and center Devon McGee (205-1997) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds. Stepney is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Woodville Warriors maintains first place in League with 15-2 record. Loser Noarlunga City Southern Tigers dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
