There was an upset in Greenacres where higher ranked North Adelaide Rockets (10-8) were defeated by ninth ranked Central District Lions (5-12) 80-71 on Saturday. Central District Lions forced 25 North Adelaide Rockets turnovers. Strangely North Adelaide Rockets outrebounded Central District Lions 49-37 including 35 on the defensive glass. American point guard Bijan Johnson (183-1997, college: NM Military) stepped up and scored 24 points and 6 assists for the winners and his fellow American import swingman Branden Jenkins (196-1994, college: TxWes) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. Jenkins is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. American swingman Terry Winn III (201-1995, college: UTRGV) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and Riley Harrap scored 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Central District Lions moved-up to eighth place in League. Loser North Adelaide Rockets keep the fifth position with eight games lost.
