Very important is a road loss of second ranked Hunters (11-6) against seventh ranked Bulls (9-10) on Saturday night. Visiting Hunters were crushed by Bulls in Inner West 98-61. Bulls outrebounded Hunters 49-36 including 36 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Lithuanian power forward Jonas Slapikas (201-1997) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Alex Higgins-Titsha contributed with 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Bulls players scored in double figures. Naturalized British forward Ryan Beisty (200-1995, college: Regis Univ.) answered with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Matur Maluach (196, college: UNB) added 19 points in the effort for Hunters. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bulls maintains seventh place in League with 9-10 record. Hunters at the other side dropped to the third position with six games lost. Bulls will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hunters will play on the road against the league's second-placed Norths Soul Sports Bears and will have a slim chance for a victory.
