Very expected game when 17th ranked Salties (4-13) lost at home to eighth ranked Meteorettes (10-9) 91-85 on Saturday. Meteorettes dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Salties' 36. They outrebounded Salties 53-39 including 19 on the offensive glass. Meteorettes looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The winners were led by American forward Alisia Jenkins (186-1994, college: S.Florida) who scored that evening 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and Danesha Bobongie supported her with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 16 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals by American guard Lauren Heard (175, college: TCU) did not help to save the game for Salties. Guard Serena Waters (170, college: South Plains) added 22 points and 4 assists. Five Meteorettes and four Salties players scored in double figures. Salties' coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Meteorettes moved-up to seventh place in League. Loser Salties keep the seventeenth position with 13 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
