Opals book place in Rio with Oceania Championship series sweep - 2 Years ago
Veterans Suzy Batkovic-Brown (195-C-80, agency: ONE Management) and Laura Hodges (191-C-83, agency: Turning Point Management) have helped the Jayco Australian Opals to an 80-63 victory in Game 2 of the 2015 FIBA Oceania Championship and qualify Australia for the 2016 Rio Olympics. Australia - New Zealand 61-41 Australia stepped closer to qualifying to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janiero. They outgunned New Zealand in the first game of two-game Oceania Championship series in Melbourne. Cambage out of Japan series, FIBA Oceania - 2 Years ago
Cambage Elizabeth (203-C-91) has been ruled out of this week's series against Japan for the Jayco Australian Opals. Cambage has made herself unavailable for the three games, starting Monday night. As a consequence, Cambage is unavailable for selection for the upcoming FIBA FIBA Oceania where the Jayco Australian Opals will play New Zealand starting August 15 in Melbourne.
