Tai Wesley (ex Southland S.) signs at Breakers - Jul 22, 2014

Tai Wesley
New Zealand Breakers (NBL) landed 28-year old American (has also Fijian passport) forward Tai Wesley (200-104kg-86, college: Utah State). He played in the summer at Zero Fees Southland Sharks in New Zealand NBL league. In 8 games he averaged impressive 16.0ppg, 9.4rpg, 2.5apg and 1.1spg. The previous season Wesley played at SPM Shoeters Den Bosch (Eredivisie) in Dutch league. In 45 games he had 14.1ppg, 5.8rpg, 3.3apg and 1.7spg. He helped them to win the supercup and make to league final. It was a very successful season in his career as he was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Dutch Eredivisie Import Player of the Year, Forward of the Year and selected to 1st Team.
In 2012-13 season Wesley played at SPO Rouen (ProB) in French league. In 33 games he had 12.9ppg, 5.4rpg, 2.4apg and 1.2spg.
Among other achievements he won Dutch Eredivisie championship title in 2012. Wesley received also All-WAC Player of the Year award back in 2011 at his college time.
Wesley is a very experienced player.
He graduated from Utah State in 2011 and it is his fourth season in pro basketball.

FIJI under-18 basketball men's team lost to Samoa 57-61 in the gold medal match of the B division in the 2016 International Basketball Federation Oceania U18 Championship yesterday. Cheshire Phoenix (BBL) inked 22-year old Fijian international forward Joshua Fox (198-95kg-94). He just graduated from Cal-Davis (NCAA). In 28 games he recorded 14.8ppg, 6.8rpg, 2.1apg and 1.1spg last season. A very good year in his career as he was voted to All-Big West 2nd Team.
