The Fiji men NT reached the semifinals after an easy 71-47 win over the Solomon Islands. They will play Guam in the next round. The women won their 6th and last pool game and will now wait to know their semifinal opponent.

Men: Fiji - Solomon Islands: 71-47
Fiji had to deal with a surprising Solomon Islands team but managed to secure the win, mostly because of a devastating domination in the paint (56rbs to 33). Experienced PG Leonard Whippy (180-G, college: BYU-Hawaii) led his side with 16pts 5/15FG 9rbs and 3ast in 29min, Laisiasa Puamau netted 12pts 5/11FG 8rbs in 21min, Sakiusa Rokodi added 10pts 5/13FG 8rbs in 29min while Ioane Naivalurua recorded 9pts 3/9FG 14rbs in 27min.

Other quarterfinals results:
Guam - Marshall Islands: 83-46
Palau - Papua New Guinea: 80-89
New Caledonia - Micronesia: 72-48
Semifinals schedule:
New Caledonia - Papua New Guinea
Guam - Fiji

Women: Fiji - Papua New Guinea: 84-56
So even PNG couldn't stop the fijian! Fiji won its 6th game during this tournament and no one seems able to prevent them to claimed the Gold medal next week. Valerie Nainima (170-G) scored a whopping 25pts 10/21FG 6rbs and 6st in 25min, Mikaelar Whippy also netted 25pts 9/15FG in 32min. Dale Wise recorded 12pts 5/8FG in 14min only.

Papua New Guinea 4-1
New Caledonia 3-2
Solomon Islands 2-3
Micronesia 0-5

The Women will have two days off before the semifinals where they will face the team ranked 4th in the pool. The men will also have two days off before facing Guam in the semifinals on Tuesday.
