Ace Hardware triumph at GHRA Basketball League - Jun 10, 2009

Ace Hardware celebrated the title at the GHRA Basketball League. Ace claimed the fifth title after they rallied past Team Justice 72:65 at the Tamuning Gym. JP Cruz scored 27 points to pace the winners. Team Justice responded with 20 points from Roque Charfauros.
Team Justice entered the final game after defeating Army Guard in an exciting clash. The teams were well matched during the game and Team Justice needed some luck to advance into the championship game. Roque Charfauros knocked down 9 points in the first half to propel Team Justice to a 23:20 advantage. Jay Casimiro and Jay Charfauros lifted Team Justice to a 9-point lead midway through the second half. Rendy Reyes dragged Army Guard back into the contest as they narrowed the margin to just 3 points. But Jay Charfauros capped the game with two freebies to seal a 50:46 victory for Team Justice at the end.

On Tuesday night for game three of the Guam Basketball Association Season Three Finals, the KFC Bombers defeated the regular season's best, MVP Stars 103-96 at the UOG Calvo Field House. The Guam Basketball Association season three is winding down but that doesn't mean the actions has stopped. Tuesday night in a playoff game at the University of Guam Calvo Field House, the Mitsubishi Outlanders took down the UOG Tritons and the ToothFairies defeated the Guam Autospot Phoenix. Phoenix take Guam Basketball Association season opener - 2 months ago
The Phoenix defeated MacTech 88-77 in the tip-off game of the Guam Basketball Association's Season Four opener at the University of Guam Calvo Field House on Sunday, April 2. Each team racking up their share of fouls and turnovers, MacTech got 14 turnovers to Phoenix's 9. Early in the first quarter, Phoenix pulled ahead with a 16-11 lead over MacTech.
