Australia opened the campaign with the win over Guam at the 2012 Pacific Youth Championships. The home side rolled over the visitors 84:46 at the Churchill Leisure Centre, Latrobe City.
Australia started the game with 19-9 lead and never looked behind after. They posted 20-11 surge in the second frame and led 39:20 at the halftime. Moreover the home side won the third and the last quarters of the game for the final success. They needed 26-16 in the third period and ended up with 19-16 in the last quarter.
William Mcdowell-White top-scored for the winners with 18 points and Kyle Clark posted 17. Dejan Vasiljevic delivered 13, whilst Abiola Akintola notched 9. Joshua Sebastian finished the game with 15 points in the losing case and Maksever Kepwe had 9. Reed Meyer tossed in 6, while Valiant Borja had 5.

Team Guam competing in FIBA 3X3 tournament in China - 10 days ago
The Men's National 3X3 Basketball Team is headed east for the FIBA Asia 3X3 Championships in Shenzhen, China, from April 27 to May 2. Leading the team is Daren Hechanova, a 6-foot-3 inch guard considered one of the best defenders from Guam. Hechanova, 24, has built an impressive 3X3 resume over the last two years. Tridents, Harvest earn wins in college hoops league - 3 months ago
The University of Guam Recreation Department Trident Men's Basketball Club routed the Pacific Islands University Tide 96-27 Monday in the Guam Men's College Basketball League at the UOG Calvo Field House. In the other game, the Harvest Baptist Bible College team upset Guam Community College 79-73. Tritons improve to 2-0 in men's hoops league - 3 months ago
The University of Guam beat Guam Community College 103-80 Tuesday in the Guam Men's College Basketball League. The Tritons went into halftime with a 50-43 lead and took full control in the second half. Demadjeo Simon scored 26 points with 11 rebounds and three blocked shots for the Tritons while Anthony Brown scored 23 points with 12 rebounds and Ryan Nangaula added 21 points, according to a UOG news release.
