Mongolia - Guam 83:71

Mongolia recorded the first win at the 6th East Asian Games in Tianjin. They held off Guam in Group A. Bilguun Battuvshin (197-F-89) knocked down 27 points to lead the winners.
Mongolia earned a 21:14 lead after ten minutes of action. They maintained the advantage in the second frame. Mongolia arrived at the interval up by 10 points 43:33. Guam connected for 15 points in the third term and cut the distance by one point. But Mongolia poured in 26 points in the fourth period and sealed the winning outcome. Odbayar Batdorj (193-PF-85) netted 16 points, while Sanchir Tungalag (188-G-89) had 13 points and 10 boards for the winners. Joseph Blas (183-G/F) answered with 21 points for Guam. Vincent Estella (186-G) finished with 14 points in the defeat.

Tuesday night in a playoff game at the University of Guam Calvo Field House, the Mitsubishi Outlanders took down the UOG Tritons and the ToothFairies defeated the Guam Autospot Phoenix. The Phoenix defeated MacTech 88-77 in the tip-off game of the Guam Basketball Association's Season Four opener at the University of Guam Calvo Field House on Sunday, April 2. Each team racking up their share of fouls and turnovers, MacTech got 14 turnovers to Phoenix's 9. Early in the first quarter, Phoenix pulled ahead with a 16-11 lead over MacTech.
