Taiwan - Guam 83:59

Taiwan recorded the second straight win at the start of the East Asian Games. They overcame Guam to top Group A. Creighton Douglas (196-F-85) posted 19 points in the victory.
Taiwan eked out a 13:12 lead after the opening frame. They stretched the lead in the second quarter. Taiwan cleared off to a 32:25 halftime advantage. Taiwan stayed dominant in the third term. They piled up an 18-point lead heading into the fourth quarter. Taiwan unleashed 30 points in the final stanza and sealed the winning outcome. Tsai Wen-Cheng (190-G/F-85) had 12 points, while Chou Po-Chen (196-SG-90) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the victory. Joseph Blas (183-G/F) answered with 14 points for Guam. Jine Han had 9 points in the loss.

Tritons improve to 2-0 in men's hoops league - 21 days ago
The University of Guam beat Guam Community College 103-80 Tuesday in the Guam Men's College Basketball League. The Tritons went into halftime with a 50-43 lead and took full control in the second half. Demadjeo Simon scored 26 points with 11 rebounds and three blocked shots for the Tritons while Anthony Brown scored 23 points with 12 rebounds and Ryan Nangaula added 21 points, according to a UOG news release. The Sanchez Sharks kept up their winning ways in the GTA Holiday TipOFF annual basketball tournament at the Tamuning gym, moving their record to 4-1 and tightening their hold on second place in the Men's Varsity Division.
