Tahiti- Guam 60:76

Guam edge Tahiti in the opener of the Pacific Championship. Guam posted a 76:60 win after a confident start.
Guam started the game with 20-13 lead and added 21-17 before the halftime. Moreover they added 20-14 rally in the third quarter and enjoyed a 17-point advantage. Tahiti managed to win the last stanza 16-15 for the final result in the game.
Jesus Cruz top-scored for the winners with 16 points and Joseph Blas (183-G/F) nailed 11. Jine Han and William Stinnett (186-G-86, college: Wenatchee Valley CC) III delivered 10 points each. Eddy Commings ended up with 13 points in the losing effort and Ariirimarau Meuel poured in 12. Michel Audouin delivered 10, whilst Haunui Apeang had 7.
Tomorrow Tahiti will take on Papua New Guinea, while Guam will play against Australia.

The Guam Basketball Association season three is winding down but that doesn't mean the actions has stopped. Tuesday night in a playoff game at the University of Guam Calvo Field House, the Mitsubishi Outlanders took down the UOG Tritons and the ToothFairies defeated the Guam Autospot Phoenix. The Phoenix defeated MacTech 88-77 in the tip-off game of the Guam Basketball Association's Season Four opener at the University of Guam Calvo Field House on Sunday, April 2. Each team racking up their share of fouls and turnovers, MacTech got 14 turnovers to Phoenix's 9. Early in the first quarter, Phoenix pulled ahead with a 16-11 lead over MacTech.
