MVP and Toothfairies reached the Final as they won the Semifinal series. MVP swept the series against Bombers 2-0. JP Cruz was named the best player of the second game as he nailed 42 points in a 118-97 win. Toothfairies meanwhile posted a decisive 93-91 win against Justice to win the series 2-1. Toothfairies led 46-43 at the half-time and managed to escape with a 2-point final win.   


Tritons improve to 2-0 in men's hoops league - 22 days ago
The University of Guam beat Guam Community College 103-80 Tuesday in the Guam Men's College Basketball League. The Tritons went into halftime with a 50-43 lead and took full control in the second half. Demadjeo Simon scored 26 points with 11 rebounds and three blocked shots for the Tritons while Anthony Brown scored 23 points with 12 rebounds and Ryan Nangaula added 21 points, according to a UOG news release. The Sanchez Sharks kept up their winning ways in the GTA Holiday TipOFF annual basketball tournament at the Tamuning gym, moving their record to 4-1 and tightening their hold on second place in the Men's Varsity Division. The games late Friday night will determine final standings.
