Officials of the Basketball Association of the Northern Mariana Island released yesterday a list of players that are invited to take part in the tryouts of the upcoming Micronesian Confederation Basketball Tournament to be held in Guam this July.  Speraheading the list of hopefuls are:

Centres

Abong Camacho, Oscar Ada, Jawn Joyner and Richard Brostrum

Forwards 

Ambrose Ogumoro, Sivas Awes, Peter Camacho, Edsel Mendoza, Gabriel White, Shane Ogumoro, Steve Rasa, Gyles Ruluked and Jeremy Sablan

Guards    

Jester Garcia, Ponce Rasa, Mark Wallace, Ed Diaz, Tony Diaz, Junior Renguul, Dave Palacios and John Sablan

Also including in the squad are John Santos, Keith Mabors, Juanis King, Frank Santos, Fritz San Nicholas and Jesse Manibusan.

Vibes banked on a good start en route to a 64-51 title win over the Ol'Aces 2 in the U25 division of the 2016 TanHoldings Christmas Basketball Tournament last Saturday at the Gillette Multipurpose Gymnasium. Northern Mariana Islands lose Micronesian Games opener - 7 Years ago
CNMI - Pohnpei 67:71 Northern Mariana Islands got to a slow start of the 7th Micronesian Games in Palau. They lost the opener to Pohnpei. Northern Mariana Islands got to a slow start. They were down by 7 points 11:18 at the first break. But the strong second quarter helped them take a 34:29 advantage at the interval. Pohnpei stressed the game inside the paint and it paid off. Micronesia remove team from South Pacific Games - 10 Years ago
The Federated States of Micronesia submitted a men team for the upcoming 2007 South Pacific Games which will be held in Samoa but the federation had to withdraw the team due to financial reason. This is of course a very bad news, one year before the 2008 FIBA Oceania Youth Tournament which will be held in Guam.   [read more]
