Soana Lucet (187-C-87) and her teamates from AS6km were playing in their first Pacific Champions Cup against the tahitian champion AS Aorai. The team was unable to overcome an horrible start and finally lost the game 38-55. This is the team's first loss in two years.

"Of course I'm disapointed but i'm happy with my girls overall, they made a great season" said Miguel Delaveuve. "Tonight the opening five minutes really killed us. The players were under pressure and were used to play against such a good team. The tahitians were agressives and good in defense. I think this loss will be usefull in the future. We will be looking to do another great season next year even without Soana Lucet who would be playing for an american university."
Thanks to a great level of play, the Aorai girls made a great start in this game and took an early lead: 2-10 and then 7-25. Not used to that kind of opposition, the caledonians were unable to play their game. Even their best players, Soana Lucet had some troubles to dominate in the paint, she was the game's leading scorer though with 15pts. Aorai enjoyed a 15-point lead at half-time (20-35) and controlled the tempo in the second half. Lucet and Kathy Bourgeois played with pride in the last quarter and cut down the lead to 8 points, 36-44 with 7 minutes to go. But Wong and her teamates didn't allow them to come closer. Soana Lucet's fifth foul with 4 minutes left sealed the win for the players from Tahiti.
"We made a very good opening quarter" said coach Pierre Villant. "The girls displayed a great defense, especially on their best player, Soana Lucet. We were confident with this early lead and we could control the tempo of the game. The girls were not playing at their best in the rest of the game but we managed to keep the lead to win this game".
