Duane Bailey
Brisbane Spartans (SEABL) agreed terms with 25-year old New Zealander forward Duane Bailey (198-87kg-91). He moved there from Zero Fees Southland Sharks in New Zealand NBL league where he started the season. Bailey managed to play in three leagues in three countries last year. In 8 NBL games he had 8.0ppg, 6.0rpg and 1.5apg this season. The most of this season he spent at Plymouth Raiders (BBL) in British league. In 24 NBL games he recorded 10.5ppg, 6.8rpg and 3.0apg. Bailey also played at New Zealand Breakers (NBL) that season. But in three games he recorded just 0.7ppg and 1.7rpg.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won Australian NBL championship title in 2015. Bailey was also voted Australiabasket.com New Zealand NBL All-Domestic Players Team in 2014. He represented New Zealand at the Oceania Championships In Saipan (N.Mariana) seven years ago. His stats at that event were 6 games: 5.8ppg, 4.8rpg, 2.2apg, 1.2bpg, 2FGP: 25.9%, 3PT: 14.3%, FT: 42.9%.
Bailey has played also professionally for other New Zealand teams like New Zealand for Rangers Jets Pirates Titans.
