Brisbane Bullets overcame New Zealand Breakers in the pre-season clash. Jermaine Beal (191-G-87, college: Vanderbilt) and Matthew Kenyon (195-G-98) stepped up with 13 points each to pace the winners.
The Bullets grabbed a 23:14 lead after the opening frame. They extended the margin at 10-point mark at the interval 44:34. Brisbane and New Zealand Breakers exchanged baskets throughout the third quarter. Brisbane sank 21 points in the fourth stanza and sealed the winning outcome. Torrey Craig (198-F-90, college: USC Upstate) produced 12 points for the winners. Derone Raukawa (181-G-94) answered with 13 points for the Breakers. Ethan Rusbatch (196-G/F-92, college: Lincoln Trail CC) had 12 points in the loss.

Wellington S. - Southland S. 108-75 Wellington Saints repeated as NBL champions. They stormed past Southland Sharks in the Grand Final tonight. Saints made 17-of-18 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 55.6 percentage. Southland S. - SC Rangers 106-67 Southland Sharks cruised past SC Rangers to advance into Grand Final. The game was mostly controlled by Sharks. Rangers managed to win fourth quarter 26-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sharks dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Rangers' 38.
