Brisbane Bullets overcame New Zealand Breakers in the pre-season clash. Jermaine Beal (191-G-87, college: Vanderbilt) and Matthew Kenyon (195-G-98) stepped up with 13 points each to pace the winners.
The Bullets grabbed a 23:14 lead after the opening frame. They extended the margin at 10-point mark at the interval 44:34. Brisbane and New Zealand Breakers exchanged baskets throughout the third quarter. Brisbane sank 21 points in the fourth stanza and sealed the winning outcome. Torrey Craig (198-F-90, college: USC Upstate) produced 12 points for the winners. Derone Raukawa (181-G-94) answered with 13 points for the Breakers. Ethan Rusbatch (196-G/F-92, college: Lincoln Trail CC) had 12 points in the loss.

BC Boncourt Red Team (LNA) landed 25-year old American center Amir Williams (211-113kg-92, college: Ohio State). He played in the summer at Taylor Hawks in New Zealand NBL league. In 14 games he averaged 13.5ppg, 9.9rpg (#3 in the league), 1.7apg and 1.6bpg. Ratiopharm Ulm (BBL) landed 24-year old New Zealander international forward Isaac Fotu (203-104kg-93, college: Hawaii). He has a double citizenship as he also holds Tongan passport. Fotu has played for the last two years at Tecnyconta Zaragoza in Spanish Liga Endesa. In 32 games he averaged 9.5ppg and 5.7rpg last season.
