There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in WBC.

This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th placed Taranaki T. (5-4) to fifth ranked Oceana GR. (5-2) 49-46 in the game for the fourth place. Taranaki T. trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 19-10 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 46-49 at the end of the game. Oceana GR. dominated on the defensive end, holding Taranaki T. to just 6 points in second quarter. Oceana GR. moved-up to fourth place. Taranaki T. lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Capital S.. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Defending champion maintains first place with 8-1 record, which they share with Waikato C. Taranaki T. lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Second ranked Waikato C. blasted bottom-ranked Tokerau P. (0-9) in 67-41 on Saturday evening. Tokerau P. is still unable to win any game. Waikato C. (8-1) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Canterbury W. Tokerau P. at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. Waikato C. will meet at home Waikato W. (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Tokerau P. will have a break next round.

In the last two games of round 7 Tauranga CC defeated Rotorua LV in a road game 67-49. Waikato W. beat Auckland LR at home 64-52.

Capital S. - Rotorua LV 97-57

Local Capital S. (5-4) outscored 10th ranked Rotorua LV (1-8) 97-57 on Sunday night. The game without a history. Capital S. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Rotorua LV to just 7 points in second quarter. Capital S. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Taranaki T. Rotorua LV lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Rotorua LV - Tauranga CC 49-67

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Tauranga CC and 10th ranked Rotorua LV had identical 1-7 record. But Rotorua LV was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from 67-49 on Saturday night. Tauranga CC (2-7) moved-up to ninth place. Capital S. lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
