Melbourne Boomers (WNBL) landed 22-year old New Zealander international forward Kalani Purcell (188-95, college: BYU). She played in the summer at Brisbane Spartans (QBL). In 9 games she averaged 11.4ppg, 9.9rpg, 3.7apg and 1.7spg.
Purcell just graduated from Brigham Young University and it will be her first season in pro basketball. Her team was regular season runner-up in WCC. Purcell received All-WCC 1st Team award in 2016 and 2017 at her college time.
Purcell also represented New Zealand at the Olympic Games Additional Qualifying Round in Nantes (France) last year. Her stats at that event were 2 games: 7.5ppg, 7.0rpg, 1.0apg.
Purcell has played previously also in New Zealand (Waikato Wizards, NZ Force Cougars and ACM Lady Hawks).
Let's have closer look into Her outlook: An energetic, yet very experienced wing player. She's very versatile and can do a little bit of everything on the court, almost every time positive.
