Northern Mariana Islands held off hosting Palau to improve at 1-1 record. Palau slipped at 0-2 record at the tournament. CNMI quickly gained the lead in this one. They stayed in charge throughout the opening quarter and posted an 18:11 lead ten minutes into the encounter. Northern Mariana Islands maintained the lead throughout the second stanza. They arrived at the interval up by 5 points 32:27. The hosts turned things around in the third frame. Gibbons notched a pair of three-pointers to ignite the run that put Palau in charge 46:45 with ten minutes to go. Barcinas and Quan helped CNMI to regain control late in regulation. Northern Mariana Islands pulled ahead and iced the victory in the dying minutes. Jericho Cruz unloaded 31 points to lead CNMI. Danandro Barcinas added 11 points, while Tim Quan had 7 points in the victory. Watson answered with 24 points for Palau. Yutaka Gibbons (G) had 11 points in defeat.

They went on an 8:2 run to surge ahead. Pohnpei maintained the lead throughout the third term. The fourth quarter brought little relief for Northern Mariana Islands. They were down by 11 points but showed character. CNMI almost denied the deficit before falling just short of victory at the end. William Hawley unloaded 19 points to pace Pohnpei. Yaingelvo produced 14 points, while Roby finished with 12 for the winners. Jericho Cruz answered with 26 points for Northern Mariana Islands. Danandro Barcinas provided 15 points in the loss.

New Caledonia will now face Guam in the semifinal tomorrow. Northern Mariana Islands failed to post a single victory and finished the competition at the bottom of the ladder

Raymond Weber (195-F-89) fired 28 points and grabbed 7 boards to pace New Caledonia to the victory. Northern Mariana Islands stayed close early in the encounter as the teams were tied at 13 midway through the frame. But New Caledonia went on a 9:0 run to take the lead for good. New Caledonia exploded with 29 points in the second frame to accumulate a massive 27-point lead at halftime. Northern Mariana Islands showed character in the third quarter as cheered up by the fans they outscored the visitors 20:19. But it was just a spark as New Caledonia regained control in the final term and eased to the win at the end. Rodrigue Tetainanuarii (203-F-82) notched 21 points and 9 boards for New Caledonia. Jean-Jacques Taufana (185-F-86) had 10 points and 13 rebounds in the win. Oscar Ada replied with 12 points and 6 boards for Northern Mariana Islands. Pete Iguel posted 11 points, 7 assists and 5 boards in the losing effort.
