U25 League: Two players suspended, Ulloa in the finals - Jun 15, 2005

Ulloa will face Prius in the U25 League finals thanks to a 101-81 over the Ghasias 7-Kings. The Kings were playing without their best player Fred Pelisamen who has been suspended for one year for his unsportsman-like conduct during the playoffs. San Antonio's Henry Sablan would be also suspended but for a shorter period. I used Shan Seman's article for SaipanTribune to cover this story.

Pelisamen is one of the best player in the country, he was the league leading scorer with 32.6ppg. His suspension was "as a consequence of his unsportsman-like conduct" during and after a playoff game against Prius. He had been suspended twice in the past, but never for an entire year. Henry Sablan is being suspended for attempting to instigate a fight, but we don't know for how long.
Without Pelisamen, Ghasias couldn't match Ulloa who won the game 101-81 on the wings of John Sablan (30pts) and Gus Palacios (28pts). With the win, Ulloa's will take on pennant champion Toyota Prius in tonight's championship game set to tip off at 6:30pm. A win by Ulloa's will force the two teams to battle again Friday, while a win by Prius puts an end to another thrilling season. The twice-to-beat situation for Prius was earned after it went undefeated in the playoffs. Ulloa's sustained their loss against the G-Rollers to open the playoffs, but bounced back and eliminated the San Antonio Wildcats, the G-Rollers, and the 7-Kings to reach the finals.
