New Zealand joined Australia in the Pacific Championship Final. They outscored Papua New Guinea for the spot in the championship game. Kyler Parai nailed 15 points to lead the winners.
The Maori stormed into the game. They went on a convincing 23:3 run in the opening quarter. New Zealand boosted the gap in the second term. They established a 42:14 halftime advantage. The hosts stayed in charge throughout the third term. The Maori rallied to a comfortable 62:22 advantage at the final intermission. New Zealand never looked back afterwards marching to the victory. Erica Hopkinson (185-F-88) netted 12 points, while Samara Gallaher (178-G-92) added 11 points for the home side. Emily Koivi responded with 7 points for Papua New Guinea. Nelly Jamsop had 6 points in the loss.

New Caledonia - Papua New Guinea 48-61 Papua New Guinea beat New Caledonia 61-48 at the Melanesia Cup 2017. They took control of the game posting a 16-9 run at the start of the game. Moreover Papua New Guinea needed a narrow 15-13 rally to enjoy a 31-22 halftime advantage. Waves, Medics end up level in Kerema basketball - 9 months ago
IHU Waves forced Medics to a low 24-24 fulltime in the Kerema women's basketball competition on Sunday. It was neck-and-neck affair going down to the wire with the lead changing on several occasions. Medics were leading 20-18 in the third quarter but were denied by Ihu Waves to register points in the crucial stages.
